Harrogate Spring Water returns to Royal Ascot with The Mindful Drinking Bar

On the 20th June, Harrogate Spring Water will open its doors to The Mindful Drinking Bar at Royal Ascot, serving a range of no and reduced alcohol cocktails including the Introduction of the new cocktail of the season, The Royal Raspberry Spritz.

Created by mixologist and much-loved celebrity bartender, Merlin Griffiths, this serve is a long, zesty cocktail with light ginger warmth and tart raspberry flavour. Perfect for the summer sun, it is delicately refreshing with a sophisticated and non-intimidating taste.

Mindful drinking advocate, Georgia Toffolo, has partnered with Harrogate Spring Water to encourage the nation to do things by halves and embrace mindful drinking this summer.

It comes as research shows, three quarters (78%) of adults associate social occasions, such as after-work drinks, and memorable moments like weddings, with alcohol.

But attitudes appear to be shifting as two thirds (61%) of adults plan to drink alcohol in moderation** during the coming months, with seven in 10 (69%) of Gen Zs now choosing to drink mindfully by interspersing alcoholic drinks with alcohol-free alternatives at social occasions.

With a summer of socialising on the horizon, Harrogate Spring Water will show how doing things by halves can make life’s moments memorable through a simple challenge for Brits to halve their alcohol consumption and replace the latter 50% with a mindful cocktail or Harrogate Spring Water.

Richard Hall, managing director at Harrogate Spring Water, said: “Our survey clearly shows adults of today are becoming more mindful in their drinking habits. Our Mindful Drinking Bar is back at Royal Ascot for the second year running, to show racegoers that drinking life in* and enjoying the moment by doing things by halves** really can help make life’s moments more memorable.”

Jonathan Parker, managing director of 1711 by Ascot, added: “Continuing the trend into summer 2023, customer feedback demonstrates there is an increasing desire for reduced and low alcohol options. We’re delighted to continue our work with the Harrogate Spring Water team to bring this Mindful Drinking Bar back for a second year to provide our Queen Anne Enclosure customers with a dedicated area to soak up the atmosphere of Royal Ascot while enjoying the brand-new Royal Raspberry Spritz.”
