Iceland Foods is breaking new ground this January with the opening of its first-ever The Food Warehouse store outside the UK. The Alliance Food Warehouse landmark store, located in Guernsey, represents a pivotal moment in the brand’s growth and the continued success of its franchise partnership with Alliance.
Situated on Braye Road, the existing Alliance store will officially re-open to the public on 23rd January 2025 as a dual-branded fascia with The Food Warehouse.
As a franchisee, Alliance will offer Iceland’s popular product ranges, including exclusive brands such as TGI Fridays, Greggs, and MyProtein. Shoppers can also look forward to a selection of seasonal merchandise and an extended value range, making Alliance The Food Warehouse a one-stop shop for all their grocery needs.
The Food Warehouse was introduced in 2014, with stores often double the size of traditional Iceland stores, offering a much larger range of goods and bigger packs for even better value. The stores are designed to look like a warehouse, with wide shopping aisles and large spaces – offering the perfect environment for customers to buy their favourite products.
Justin Addison, Iceland Foods international and partnerships director at Iceland Foods, said: “We’re delighted to announce the opening of Alliance The Food Warehouse in Guernsey, our first location outside the UK. This is a significant milestone for Iceland Foods and a testament to the strength of our partnership with Alliance.
“With the introduction of The Food Warehouse, we’re expanding the range and convenience we offer to customers on the island, building on the success of our existing stores. We look forward to welcoming the local community through our doors this January.”
Andrew Bagot, managing director of Alliance said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Iceland Foods to open the new Alliance Food Warehouse store in Guernsey, and bringing their much-loved products to the local community through Alliance. Together, we’re making it easier than ever for households in the Channel Islands to access Iceland’s fantastic range, from everyday essentials to seasonal favourites.”
The success of Iceland Foods’ partnership with Alliance – an independent retailer in Jersey and Guernsey – will continue in 2025, with two additional core stores set to open in the Channel Islands this March, building on the brand’s existing presence in the region.
