Independent spirits distributor Chimera Brand Development (www.chimera.london) is officially announcing its appointment as the exclusive UK distribution and brand-building partner for Isle of Arran Distillers’ award-winning single malt portfolios, Arran Single Malt (www.arranwhisky.com) and Lagg Single Malt (www.laggwhisky.com).
The partnership marks a significant milestone for both companies. It unites one of Scotland’s most respected independent distillers with Chimera’s highly focused, modern approach to commercial strategy and market development. The collaboration aims to deepen market penetration, drive premium visibility, and elevate the distinct personalities of the twin island distilleries across both UK on-trade and off-trade channels.
Euan Mitchell, managing director of Isle of Arran Distillers, comments: “As an independent distiller, finding a partner who truly understands our island’s unique heritage and the distinct identities of both our Lochranza and Lagg distilleries was paramount. The UK remains a vitally important and highly competitive market for single malts. Chimera’s progressive, targeted approach to brand development aligns perfectly with our vision. We are confident that their energy and focused commercial strategy will allow us to connect with whisky enthusiasts and grow our footprint across the country. As we enter this exciting new chapter, we would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the team at Amber Beverage UK. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication, partnership, and hard work in supporting our brands in the UK over the years, and we wish them continued success.”
“We are incredibly proud to welcome Arran and Lagg into the Chimera family,” says Seymour Ferreira, CEO of Chimera Brand Development. “These are exceptional, independently owned brands with an uncompromising dedication to quality and a clear point of difference. Our tailored, collaborative model is designed to respect the unique identity of each distillery while aggressively driving their footprint and narrative across the UK.”
Two Distilleries, One Island: Distinct Expressions of Arran
Often described as “Scotland in miniature,” the Isle of Arran captures the essence of the nation’s natural beauty and whisky heritage. The island is home to two distilleries, Lochranza in the north and Lagg in the south, both part of the Isle of Arran Distillers family.
What began in 1995 as a bold move to restore whisky-making to the island, has evolved into a thriving, two-distillery operation producing some of Scotland’s most admired single malts with integrity and passion.
