Hilltop Honey, the UK’s second-largest honey brand, today announces the appointment of Kate Utting as its first Marketing Director as it continues to expand and strengthen its leadership team to support its growth agenda.

An experienced FMCG marketer, Utting has previously held brand and marketing roles at Gu Puds, Pepsi Co’s Quaker Oats and Twinings where she was responsible for delivering end to end marketing including multiple award winning brand activations.

She will expand and lead the marketing team as it focuses on developing a bold and distinctive new brand vision and invests significantly more across the whole marketing mix.

Commenting on her appointment, Utting says: “The team at Hilltop have done an incredible job in growing the brand and the business to this point, and I am excited to join to accelerate our growth and shake up an otherwise sleepy category. Hilltop will offer more choice for the growing number of consumers looking to reduce processed foods and want to choose brands that are doing better for people & the planet.”

Scott Davies, managing director, Hilltop adds: “With an impressive track record and vast industry knowledge, we’re thrilled that Kate has joined the Hilltop team. We’ve just invested in a major rebrand with Big Fish and want to drive new consumers into the category with a range of quality honey that can be used to enhance any meal or recipe.”
