KFC brings new innovative product range to Scotland restaurants, backed by £38m investment

KFC KFC’s newest speciality drinks range, Kwench, has landed in Scotland with 13 trend-led drinks, including the new limited-edition Millionaire Shake*.

Rolling out across KFC’s 58 Scottish restaurants – from Edinburgh and Glasgow to Aberdeen, Inverness and Dumfries – the range spans Krunch Shakes and Iced Coffees to Boba Refreshers and Sparkling Lemonades, giving KFC fans across the nation even more choice.

With prices starting from £2.49, Kwench brings some of the biggest trending drinks flavours to the KFC menu, designed to be enjoyed as a refreshing treat or paired with KFC’s iconic fried chicken. The line-up blends fresh fruit-based flavours such as the Cherry Boba Refresher, with iced coffees including the Iced Tiramisu Latte, and fresh takes on classic shake flavours such as the Strawberry Shortcake Krunch Shake.

Backed by a £38 million investment from KFC and its franchise partners, the roll-out of Kwench will see new dedicated Kwench counters introduced into KFC restaurants across the nation. Just as KFC’s famous fried chicken is freshly hand-breaded in restaurants every day, each Kwench drink is hand-crafted to order by KFC team members.

Kwench is central to KFC’s strategy to become the fastest growing restaurant brand for the next generation, tapping into Gen Z’s appetite for bold, speciality drinks – more than half of which are now bought outside of traditional mealtimes. With trend-led flavours made to stand out and be shared on social media, Kwench gives Scottish customers more flavour, more choice and more reasons to visit KFC.

The rollout of Kwench is the latest step in KFC’s growth plans for Scotland. In 2026, the brand has invested almost £6 million in its restaurant estate across Scotland, opened 3 new restaurants and continued to bring new products and experiences to customers across the country. It’s all part of KFC’s continued growth in Scotland, where the brand contributes £60 million to the economy and supports 2,585 jobs nationwide.

Leo Sloley, strategy and innovation director at KFC UK & Ireland, said: “Scotland already knows and loves us for our chicken, but we want to give people even more reasons to choose KFC, whatever the occasion. Kwench brings more choice to our menu and opens up new moments to enjoy KFC throughout the day.

“It’s a fresh new side of KFC – fun, full of flavour and unmistakably us. We’re excited to bring Kwench to Scotland and see people make it part of their everyday.”
