Knights Cider goes from strength to strength for Aston Manor

Knights Cider - ProductsFollowing an impressive 2023 for Knights Cider, Aston Manor is proud to announce the brand has further cemented itself as the wholesale market leader in 2024, continuing to outperform all over segments in the category.

Building on the success of Aston Manor’s extensive range of world-class ciders, Knights Cider is now the UK’s number one strong amber cider brand.

The strong amber brand has also recorded over 12 million cans sold annually, with Knights seeing a 54% increase in shoppers year on year. To put this achievement into context, it comes at a time when total cider sales have declined by 7%.

Reflecting on the 54% year on year increase in demand for Knights Cider, Aston Manor believe it results from a number of factors, including shopper preference towards British sourced products, increased footfall to wholesale stores, and the cost-of-living crisis.

Calli O’Brien, head of marketing at Aston Manor Cider, said: “Consumer confidence in the UK is currently at a record low, even lower than the 2008 global financial crisis. This paints a grim picture of the UK public’s mood and, as a result, decision making around expenditure is being heavily impacted.

“Our range provides shoppers with an affordable solution, without trading down on quality, so they can be assured they are not compromising when needing to spend a little less cash on cider. The strong performance of the Knights Cider brand further enhances our reputation for producing great tasting and award-winning ciders.”
