The East of England Co-op has bolstered its senior leadership team by recruiting Liz Cobbold into a newly created role of chief customer, community & member officer.
Cobbold joined the regional co-op this month bringing a breadth of marketing and commercial experience and has worked with brands such as Tesco and Adnams. She is bringing her customer focus and expertise in brand management, design, digital marketing, AI, and customer in
The East of England Co-op has grown its Senior Leadership team following year-on-year profit improvement.
With experience in retail and digital marketing, Liz is set to bring customers and members on the East of England Co-op’s journey.
Cobbold said: “Some of my earliest memories are of shopping at my local co-op and collecting divi stamps. The values of the Co-operative movement are very meaningful to me and I’m looking forward to refreshing how we communicate to members while remaining true to the values that the East of England Co-op was built on.”

The East of England Co-op is owned by its members and is driven by its commitment to support local communities. The retailer has donated over £130,000 through its Local Giving programme and over £1.1 million across the four community programmes run by East of England Co-op.
