Mango, a leading international fashion brand, has joined the line-up at Highcross Leicester, making it the only one of its kind in Leicestershire.
Opening today (11 April), the brand joins the growing fashion offering at the retail and leisure destination, which earlier this week announced the upcoming arrival of Asian sushi and noodle bar, Maki & Ramen.
The new store will offer shoppers access to its popular, exclusive line of womenswear, with visitors also experiencing its new Mediterranean-inspired retail concept, ‘New Med’, which embodies the spirit and freshness of the brand.
The leading fashion label, now situated on the upper mall, is the first new retailer to join the centre after its brand refresh, which was marked by celebrations across the centre, including retailer and big cash-prize giveaways, games and the first ever Highcross Live Lounge which welcomed performances from local artists.
The centre’s team predicts that the new retailer will become a popular go-to after a number of shoppers added Mango to the centre’s retailer ‘wishlist’ just months before.
Officially announcing its arrival to the centre, Michelle Menezes, Highcross Leicester’s centre director, said: “We’re very excited to welcome much-loved fashion brand, Mango, to Highcross. We’re delighted that the brand has chosen us as its sole location within Leicestershire and we’re looking forward to working with the team to support their success.
“It’s been fantastic to see so many eager shoppers waiting outside the doors to be among the first to see the brand’s ‘New Med’ concept store. Its arrival signals a new wave of exciting brands we’re introducing this year to Highcross, and we can’t wait to share more details with shoppers soon.”
Mango is yet another global brand to be added to the centre’s line up, following a change in management and a reinvigorated strategy to bring new brands and concepts to Highcross. The NewRiver capital partnerships asset management team has diversified and elevated the occupier mix, introducing more than 10 new occupiers, including Mango, with a number of new brands and concepts due to open this year. This strategy has been focused on refreshing the popular destination shopping centre in the heart of Leicester to create a vibrant retail and leisure experience.
