Matalan launches new brand Campaign ‘More to Love’

Family retailer, Matalan today launches its spring brand campaign, ‘More to Love’.

Created by McCann Manchester, ‘More to Love’ encapsulates Matalan’s positive and warm tone and celebrates all that the retailer has to offer this season across it’s women’s, men’s, kids and homeware offering – more value, more choice, more quality, more brands and more online!

‘More to Love’ runs across VOD, social media, TV, OOH, digital, radio, owned and earned channels and includes singer- songwriter and TikTok sensation Sam Ryder’s recording of the iconic The Source ft. Candi Staton classic, ‘You Got The Love’. Sam’s studio version of the smash hit will be included across all the TV spots.

Jeff Howarth, Matalan’s Omnichannel marketing director, commented: “We’re so excited to show customers the new spring collections at Matalan – ‘More to Love’ is our best campaign yet. It is reflective of our values, being famously affordable, but not compromising on style or quality. This is an essential message during the cost of living crisis, which was a huge consideration for us when planning this positive, uplifting and value focused campaign.

“The idea behind the ‘More to Love’ campaign is to show that there really is so much more to love at Matalan. We’re constantly striving to deliver more for our customers, offering broad choice and continue to add recognised third party brands to our extensive portfolio. In early April we’ll also be able to start offering our customers ‘buy now pay later’ options, so when we say there’s more to love at Matalan, we really do mean more.”

Dave Price, chief creative officer at McCann Manchester, said: “’More to Love’ celebrates the fantastic range available at Matalan at great value. With Sam Ryder’s vocals bringing the campaign to life and adds some high energy magic.”The campaign is headlined tonight with a Love Island TV slot at 9.15pm, supported by a social campaign too, asking Matalan’s 1.6 million online community to tell them why they love the brand, by sharing with their followers reasons they #LoveMatalan, for the chance to win £250 gift cards.
