Merrell Merrell, the benchmark for innovation in high-performance trail running and outdoor footwear, has announced that it will be opening its second bricks and mortar store in the UK at the Cotswolds Design Outlet.

Located near Tewkesbury on the edge of the Cotswold AONS, the store will offer a range of products from Merrell, including apparel and accessories and a full complement of footwear options from the trail running, hiking, casual and barefoot ranges.

Opening as the Cotswold Design Outlet space springs to life, the store will offer customers in the surrounding areas direct access to key styles including the Moab Speed 2 hiking shoe and the Agility Peak 5 trail running shoe.

As part of the opening, Merrell is partnering with the Ordnance Survey to create a footwear wall which will show key hiking routes in the area. The goal will be to inspire walkers and boost engagement from the local community to get out and explore the outdoors more this summer.

Commenting on the opening of the store, Jonathan Quint, senior product and marketing director EMEA, said: “We are incredibly proud to open our second store in the UK – and in such a key location. The location was specifically chosen for its unparalleled access to the Cotswolds, Malvern Hills and South Wales – and is a signal of Merrell’s continued investment in the outdoor retail market, offering customers a premium shopping experience. Our staff are experts in footwear and the outdoors and will be able to offer customers expert knowledge on picking the right shoe for the right activity.”

Occupying 121 square meters, the store is set to open on the 16th July.
