Morrisons offers free breakfasts for families this Easter

Morrisons is helping families start the day the right way this Easter, with its popular Kellogg’s ‘Breakfast Clubs’ returning to its Cafés nationwide to offer a free breakfast to adults and children throughout the school holidays.

Families visiting Morrisons Cafés can enjoy a free ‘Kellogg’s Breakfast’, featuring a bowl of cereal and a portion of fruit. Kids and adults can choose from much-loved favourites Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies, served with their choice of dairy or non-dairy milk, alongside a free apple or banana.

Running throughout the Easter school holidays and beyond* across England, Scotland and Wales, the incentive helps to keep kids fed when schools are closed and extra costs can start to add up. Morrisons also offers its Kids Eat Free programme all year round, where children can enjoy a free meal with any adult meal purchased.

School holidays can put extra pressure on family food budgets, with one in three (33 per cent) parents saying they struggle to feed their children during these periods, according to research from Kellogg’s and Morrisons. The figure rises to two in five (40 per cent) among parents aged 25–34, while eight in ten parents say they have worried about their food lasting until their next grocery shop during the break.

With children aged 5–11 asking for food on average every two hours at home, it’s perhaps no surprise that 77 per cent of parents say they spend more on food during school holidays.

Matt Khan, senior trader for Morrisons Café, said: “We know the school holidays can bring extra pressures for families, from food costs to keeping routines in place. We’re here to help by opening our Café spaces up for Breakfast Clubs to give families a chance to enjoy a simple, balanced breakfast together.”
