Mowgli launches nationwide autumn new menu

Mowgli Mowgli Street Food, the award-winning restaurant brand created by barrister-turned-restaurateur Nisha Katona MBE, has unveiled its brand-new autumn menu.

Designed with the darker nights of the season in mind, the new dishes celebrate the warming and soulful spirit of Indian home cooking, best enjoyed beneath the twinkling fairy lights at Mowgli.

This seasonal menu introduces bold additions alongside much-loved Mowgli favourites.

Guests can look forward to the warm and hearty Mowgli Chicken Biryani, served with Miniature Poppadoms for added crunch. A traditional dish from India, the biryani has delicate fragrant rice, tender chicken and is beautifully spiced.

There is also a new velvety and luxurious Black Dahl, a perfect winter warmer dish featuring earthy black lentils with tangy tomatoes, warming ginger-garlic and spices – then finished with cream for richness.

The new bright and fresh Diwali Cauliflower is a real flavour celebration, featuring golden turmeric-roasted florets, juicy pomegranate seeds, a cooling yoghurt and tangy tamarind chutney, fresh coriander and crunchy sev – it’s a real festive flavour explosion.

A true showstopper comes in the form of the new Lamb Bunny Chow. Slow-cooked lamb curry served inside a hollowed-out loaf of bread. It’s bold, messy, deeply comforting and made to share.

Then there’s the deliciously soft and flaky Garlic and Coriander Paratha, perfect for dunking and dipping into curries, and Miniature Poppadoms – a deliciously crunchy lighter bite with a dip.

Founded in Liverpool in 2014, Mowgli has grown into a national institution with 27 restaurants across the UK and, for the first time, is now exclusively available for delivery with Uber Eats.

The brand has become famous for fresh, flavour-packed dishes such as Gunpowder Chicken, Mother Butter Chicken, Temple Dahl and Tamarind Treacle Fries, all designed to be shared with friends and family in the true Indian tradition.

But Mowgli is about more than food. Each restaurant is designed to capture the feeling of stepping into an Indian home kitchen, alive with warmth, bustle and charm.

Guests dine beneath strings of fairy lights at wooden tables filled with shared plates, while swing seats hang playfully from the ceiling. The scent of fresh spices drifts through the air, as the chatter of families, friends and colleagues creates a vibrant soundtrack. It is a space where generosity, togetherness and soul are as essential as the dishes themselves.

Founder Nisha Katona said: “The food I create for Mowgli is always about authenticity, the dishes Indians eat in their homes and on their streets, full of taste, life and soul. This autumn, I wanted to bring a sense of comfort and celebration to the table, with dishes like Lamb Bunny Chow and Diwali Cauliflower that warm you from the inside out. Whether you’re sharing plates with friends under our fairy lights or finding the solace of a bowl of Black Dahl on a chilly evening, these are dishes that bring joy.”

Since its opening, Mowgli has been recognised not only for its vibrant food but also for its values. Through The Mowgli Trust, the brand has donated more than £2.6 million to local and global causes, while earning a place as one of The Sunday Times’ Best Places to Work for three years running.

Mowgli’s new autumn menu launches nationwide across all 27 restaurants – from Liverpool to London, Cardiff to Edinburgh.
