Nashi Pear Juice: the new pre-drink ritual that lets you have it all

Nashi Pear JuiceHangover ‘cures’ have been around for decades, with everything from fried breakfast to a glass of milk, olive oil and even bananas being the supposed recipe for success. We’ve all been there, wishing we could enjoy a night out without sacrificing the next morning. That’s where Nashi Pear Juice comes in. The 100% natural wellness drink made entirely from premium Korean pears. Korean pear juice has been used for centuries in Korea as an effective pre-drink to support the body processing alcohol. Designed to be taken before drinking, it’s a natural alternative to synthetic supplements or those quick-fix “cures”.

The idea for Nashi came from sisters Taya and Lucy, who had always struggled with the clash between socialising and staying active. Taya, a former consultant and international athlete, discovered Korean pear juice while living in Australia and quickly made it part of her routine. When she returned to London, she shared it with Lucy, a marathon runner and AI specialist in the space industry, who started off skeptical, but texted the next morning… “I feel a million dollars.” Friends started asking for it too, and the pair decided to bring it to the UK themselves.

Nashi is different to other so-called hangover preventions, based on research the sisters felt was overlooked, testing 220ml of Korean pear juice consumed before drinking. It’s no gimmick: studies from Australia’s national science agency suggest that Korean pears can help with alcohol metabolism, help the body break down toxic by-products more efficiently, and even reduce inflammation, which means fewer of the symptoms people usually associate with a heavy night. The natural compounds in the fruit help your body process alcohol faster. In tests, people who had Korean pear juice before drinking reported fewer hangover symptoms and even had less alcohol in their system the next day. You just have to drink it before alcohol for it to work, making it part of your wellness ritual.

Most brands sell small pouches that require doubling up, but Nashi comes in a recyclable 250ml can, giving you the right amount in one go. There is nothing added and nothing artificial, just fresh, great tasting pear juice. The brand’s ethos is simple – drink smarter, not more. The brand sits firmly in the wellness space as a ritual for people who want to live life fully, balanced, without the burnout. As the sisters put it: “We don’t think you should have to choose between the pub and the gym, the dinner party and the early meeting, or the night out and the morning after.”

Nashi Pear Juice launched earlier this year with direct sales from its website, alongside availability through DELLI marketplace and a few independent stockists. First-time buyers can access 20% off when they subscribe online, with next-day delivery available for those who want to test it out before their weekend plans.
