Borough Yards has launched an exciting new shopping destination for aspirational artisans – Stonecutters Lane, which is just a two-minute walk from London Bridge station.
Borough Yards is a restored and newly renovated shopping, dining and cultural destination in the heart of London Bridge. The opening of Stonecutters Lane is the latest and final stage of the Borough Yards destination. The Lane will host a fresh mix of independent retailers with a shared focus on sustainability and high-quality design. For many of these brands, opening at Borough Yards will mark their first physical standalone stores in the UK.
The independent shops opening in Stonecutters Lane will include:
- Natural, vegan, and sustainable skincare brand Sknfed
- Handmade décor producer, La Lune London, who is opening at Borough Yards following their success in Camden
- Handmade jewellery designer Linnet Jewelry, who have a popular Etsy shop and unit on Portobello Road
- Affordable eyewear brand Pop Specs
- Ethical slow fashion and social enterprise brand Handmade Stories
This new marketplace is a fantastic place for visitors to discover ethical brands that may not have been on their radar before. These brands will join other popular shops already at Borough Yards, including Malin + Goetz and Japanese handicraft knife brand Kitchen Provisions.
For the launch of the Lane, Borough Yards has partnered with Lone Design Club, launching with 12 brands across three immersive pop-ups. The independent break-through brands involved in the launch of Stonecutters Lane include:
- Quirky and whimsical ceramic artists, H2 Studios
- Slow fashion brands such as Noe Dresses, Locklear Thomas, BRICK + BONE
- London based brand for sustainable heatless hair curlers, And Wolf
- United Nations conscious fashion and lifestyle partner, One Less
- Hybrid cycling brand, Angry Pablo
- And lots more to discover!
A programme of free events will also be running throughout April and May. Events will include:
- 16 April: A ‘Cocktails and Candles’ workshop for 10-15 pre-booked guests followed by an hour of delicious cocktails

We’re thrilled to be working with Lone Design Club to launch the lane with free immersive events and pop-ups to create a lively atmosphere for people to explore the independent boutiques and popular bars and restaurants. This launch marks the start of a busy season for Borough Yards, featuring the World Press Photo exhibition opening in May and further summer activities to be announced shortly. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the destination to enjoy all there is to offer.”
Rebecca Morter, CEO of Lone Design Club, said: “Partnering with Borough Yards to launch Stonecutters Lane through a curated series of immersive pop-ups and a dynamic six-week event program is a momentous endeavour for Lone Design Club. This collaboration underscores our commitment to bringing innovative and sustainable fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands to the forefront of the retail experience. By fostering a community where independent artisans can thrive, we are setting a new standard for what shopping can be – an exploration of creativity, craftsmanship, and shared values.
“We’re excited to see Stonecutters Lane become a destination where visitors can discover new designers and connect with the stories behind the brands. This partnership with Borough Yards is more than just a series of events; it’s a movement towards a more vibrant and inclusive future in retail.”
Borough Yards is also home to popular bars and restaurants such as Bancone, Barrafina, Akara, Parrillan and Brother Marcus as well as London bridge’s first cinema, Everyman Cinema.
