Omega Pressery, the UK’s only avocado-oil-focused brand, is launching on Ocado and entering foodservice through leading wholesalers Vegetarian Express and Classic Fine Foods, marking a significant next step in the growth of the business.
The launches come as the two-year-old brand grows from around 50 distribution points at launch in 2024 to more than 900 today across retail, foodservice and international markets. Revenue has grown tenfold year on year, with the business on track to surpass £1m in annual recurring revenue (ARR) before the end of 2026.
To support its next phase of growth, Omega Pressery has also secured a six-figure investment from seasoned FMCG investor Giles Brook, whose previous investments include Surreal, Vita Coco, Pip & Nut, Bio&Me, Dalston’s and Freja. Brook is joining the business in an advisory position, with the investment set to support further growth across retail, foodservice and international markets, alongside increased marketing, team growth and new product development.
From Ocado baskets, to Oddbox to foodservice
Omega Pressery launched on Ocado this week with two SKUs, with a further two due by the end of the year. The listing adds to its presence in Waitrose, Fortnum & Mason and Planet Organic, while the brand has been consistently the UK’s number-one avocado oil seller on Amazon since April 2026. A partnership with fruit and vegetable subscription service Oddbox has also taken its products directly into more consumers’ homes.
The foodservice launch gives chefs and operators access to Omega Pressery’s versatile range through Vegetarian Express and Classic Fine Foods, including Light Avocado Oil in 1L and 5L formats. With a neutral flavour and 270°C smoke point, Light Avocado Oil is suited to high-heat cooking and frying, while Extra Virgin Avocado Oil offers a high smoke point of 240°C making it versatile for cooking, whilst its subtle flavour allows it to be a suitable option for dressings and finishing.
The launches come as the UK avocado oil category continues to grow. NIQ data shows volume sales increased by 28% between April 2024 and April 2026, while value sales rose by 33%, compared with just 1% growth across other oils. Avocado oil still accounts for less than 1% of the UK oil market, leaving significant headroom for further growth across retail and foodservice.
Internationally, Omega Pressery has secured a presence in Kenyan retail and is preparing to launch on Amazon EU, Ireland as well as Eastern Asia through Singapore.
Investment to build a category, not just a brand
Brook’s investment comes as Omega Pressery looks to capitalise on growing interest in avocado oil while developing a more transparent and traceable supply chain from East Africa.
Giles Brook said: “Omega Pressery is one of the most exciting businesses I’ve seen in recent years, and I’m delighted to be joining Niki and Niheer for the journey ahead. From our very first conversations, I was struck by the clarity of their vision and their entrepreneurial ambition.
They are building a business with genuine purpose and integrity, creating a truly differentiated brand while developing a supply chain that sets a new standard for the avocado category. Omega Pressery has all the ingredients to become a category-defining business.”
Nikita Dawda, co-founder of Omega Pressery, said: “We first met Giles through the Brand Growth Heroes Mini MBA programme and quickly realised how aligned we were on the opportunity to grow Omega Pressery while staying true to our values.
With new listings including Ocado and our launch into foodservice, alongside growing momentum with retailers such as Waitrose, we’re at a pivotal point in the business. We were deliberate about who we wanted alongside us, and Giles’ experience with Vita Coco and the coconut value chain is particularly relevant as we navigate the complexities of building a responsible, fully traceable avocado supply chain from East Africa.
Our ambition is to become the home of all things avocado. By focusing on one value chain, we’re building a stronger, more resilient supply chain alongside a growing pipeline of value-added avocado products. Giles understands what it takes to build a category, not just a brand, and his experience and belief in what we’re building make him an incredibly valuable partner. Ultimately, when retailers think of avocado oil, we want them to think of Omega Pressery.”
Building a more valuable and sustainable avocado supply chain
Omega Pressery works with thousands of smallholder farmers across East Africa, the majority of whom are women, including in Kenya and Uganda, with Tanzania next in its expansion plans.
Working with its pressing partners, the business turned more than 4 million Grade B avocados into oil last year, creating value from fruit that might otherwise have limited commercial value. It pays above-market rates to encourage harvesting when fruit is ready, while by-products are repurposed for uses including animal feed, manure and biofuel briquettes.
Direct relationships with growers, selected pressing facilities close to growing regions and a local team of agronomy, procurement and sourcing specialists help Omega Pressery develop a more traceable and resilient supply chain as it scales.
