Pilgrims Choice drops flavoured line-up… and looks even sharper on shelf

Pilgrims ChoiceNew research from Pilgrims Choice reveals the nation is stuck in a flavour rut. A whopping 98% of Brits regularly eat the same snacks, and 30% admit they’re bored with their routine. But, the study of 2,000 adults, also shows a nation on the edge of a culinary breakthrough. 63% of Brits crave bolder flavour combinations — they just need a little push.

To save the nation from this snacking slump, Pilgrims Choice is staging a flavour awakening with a brand new flavour-packed line-up.  Introducing four new flavoured cheeses inspired by mouth-watering global flavours, to up your lunch, dinner, and snack game with ease – available in Tesco now, in Booths from August, and Sainsbury’s from September.

The bold new products include; The American One, The Mexican One, The Italian One and The British One, in either sliced or grated (or both) and are bursting with flavours synonymous with each location. The new products also coincide with a new look and feel; Pilgrims Choice is sharper on shelves than ever before.

With a reputation for bold, tangy & crunchy  cheddar, Pilgrim’s Choice lives by the philosophy that life is simply too short for anything less than flavour-packed mealtimes and snacks. Read on to discover the new range:

The American One; Hot Honey (available in grated & sliced)
Taking famously bold  cheddar and adding some serious americana – hot honey, jalapeño and paprika. Just sprinkle on your mac ‘n cheese for a home run of flavour.

The Mexican One; Smoky Paprika (available in grated & sliced)
Pimp up your meals with this smoky Mexican cheddar. Bringing even more paprika, onion & tomato to every mouthful. Revolutionise your nacho game or add some oomph to your tacos and share the extra smokiness with your amigos!

Look out for the refreshed packaging and all-new flavours on shelves in Tesco now, in Booths from 19th August, Sainsbury’s from 10th September (Mexican and American only), and Morrisons from 15th September (Mexican and American only).

All figures, unless otherwise stated, are from YouGov Plc. Total sample size was 2192 adults. Fieldwork was undertaken between 10th – 11th July 2025. The survey was carried out online. The figures have been weighted and are representative of all UK adults (aged 18+).
