pladis introduces Mini Cheddars Cheeselets is a new Mini Cheddars sub brand

pladis pladis, the global snacking company behind some of the UK’s most loved and iconic brands, is extending its consumer favourite Mini Cheddars range and adding to the Jacob’s Crinklys portfolio, with tasty snacks designed to appeal to more consumers and satisfy their snacking needs.

Mini Cheddars Cheeselets is a new Mini Cheddars sub brand, launching in two flavours, Intensely Cheesy and Intensely Cheese & Onion. Baked with real cheese, Mini Cheddars Cheeselets are tangy, square-shaped snacks with a delicious crunch and the strong cheese flavour that Mini Cheddars fans love.

“Mini Cheddars remain the go-to snacking favourite for families,” explains Ciaran Conway, Senior Brand Manager, pladis UK&I, “but we know that teenagers and young adults want to enjoy bolder, louder and crunchier savoury snacks. Step in Mini Cheddars Cheeselets, with tangy bold flavours that bring a new flavour adventure to a new generation of snackers.

“Savoury snacking continues to be one of the fastestgrowing categories, driven by younger shoppers seeking bold flavour, texture, and formats suited to sharing and impulse missions. These two launches are designed to help retailers capture this demand and drive incremental growth.

“Mini Cheddars Cheeselets marks the biggest flavour-led innovation for Mini Cheddars in recent years, tapping directly into the growing demand for louder, bolder cheese snacks.”

The Jacob’s Crinklys range also has new additions in the shape of Crinklys BIG, a new all-year-round proposition made for sharing. The oven baked snacks come in three flavours: the ever-popular Cheese & Onion, Salt & Vinegar and Prawn Cocktail.

“Crinklys BIG is a bigger product than our original Crinklys, which offers consumers a more satisfying eat,” says Solene Conanec, Brand Manager, pladis UK&I. “This format is well suited to lunchtime – the number one crisps and snacks occasion – while also meeting growing demand for products suited to evening sharing.

“Crinklys BIG is a bigger, bolder way to enjoy Crinklys. The larger format not only amplifies the signature crunch and flavour consumers already love from Crinklys but also fits into the growing demand for snacks that can be enjoyed together.”

The new Mini Cheddars Cheeselets (150g Sharing RRP £2, PMP £1.25) and Jacob’s Crinklys BIG (150g Sharing RRP £2 PMP £1.25) ranges are rolling out across grocery, wholesale and convenience from w/c 16 March.
