This year, British Jewellery Brand Posh Totty Designs celebrates ten years of their partnership with Women for Women International, a non-profit humanitarian organisation that equips women survivors of war and conflict with the skills, knowledge and support networks to rebuild their lives, families and communities.
Their collaboration began in 2016, when founder Alice Rivers Cripps, founder of Posh Totty Designs, travelled to Kosovo and witnessed first-hand how the charity’s programme empowers women affected by conflict to gain vocational and life skills, build financial independence, and drive lasting change within their families and communities. Alice shared her jewellery expertise with a group of female survivors at one of their skills workshops and was amazed about their reaction and incredible generosity to share their stories, so decided to create their Share a Hug range to represent this moment and for all profits from the sales to go to the organisation.
“It has been a heartfelt privilege for all of us at Posh Totty Designs to stand alongside Women for Women International for the past 10 years. My trip to Kosovo with the charity to meet some of the women who have endured unimaginable hardship and witness their courage, kindness and hope, will live with me forever,” said Alice Rivers Cripps.
To mark the 10-year anniversary of working together, Posh Totty Designs has added their Dove of Hope to their charitable range with all profits going to the organisation.
This initiative is part of Posh Totty Designs’ wider commitment to empower women through craftsmanship with their female-led workshop in Brighton where all their pieces are hand-made.
“Women for Women International’s work is absolutely vital and needed now more than ever. We are incredibly proud to have helped them raise over £35,000 in the last 10 years, and to support them in championing women, helping them rediscover their strength, and empowering them with the skills, confidence and community they need to truly flourish. Celebrating their resilience over the past decade has been an honour,” added Rivers Cripps.
