The Naked Margarita launches premium bottled and tinned range into UK trade

The Naked MargaritaThe Naked Margarita is creating its own luxury category in the UK’s ready-to-drink space with the launch of its ultra-premium bottled margarita and collection of craft cocktails inspired by the birthplace of tequila, Jalisco, Mexico.

Founded by husband-and-wife duo Lydia Ward and Chris Pratt, The Naked Margarita was born from a desire to create a ready-to-drink cocktail that celebrated authentic tequila without compromise. Inspired by a journey through their farm in Jalisco, where four generations of producers have perfected the art of tequila making, the pair set out to create a 100% agave tequila that would form the foundation of The Naked Margarita – honouring its origins while raising the standard of the ready-to-drink category through exceptional ingredients, timeless design and thoughtful craftsmanship.

Made with ultra premium 100% agave tequila, The Naked Margarita strips away unnecessary ingredients in favour of a beautifully balanced recipe that lets the spirit’s quality shine. Designed for refined, modern hosting, it delivers a five-star bar-quality cocktail that’s ready to pour, without sacrificing the ritual or experience of making a great margarita.

At the heart of the collection is a beautifully crafted 700ml glass bottle containing seven 100ml serves of the brand’s signature 10.1% ABV Classic Margarita. Retailing at £49 and presented in a luxurious agave fan gift box, every detail has been carefully considered – from the sculptural silhouette and glass stopper to the debossed detailing, textured neck strap and intricately carved punt that catches and refracts the light.

Designed to last well beyond its first use, the bottle can be repurposed into elegant glassware via the online reuse programme, reflecting the brand’s commitment to considered design and to reducing waste without compromising on luxury.

Lydia Ward, funder and CEO of The Naked Margarita, said: “We didn’t set out to create just another ready-to-drink cocktail – we wanted to create a margarita worthy of the tequila inside. After travelling through Jalisco and seeing the incredible care, heritage and craftsmanship behind authentic tequila, we were inspired to create a brand that honoured those traditions while elevating the category.

That meant taking the harder route: developing our own ultra-premium tequila, spending four years refining every detail of the recipe and obsessing over every detail, from the bottle and cans to the overall experience. We wanted every element to feel intentional and to create something beautifully simple that people would be proud to share, whether around the dinner table, at a summer gathering or celebrating life’s special moments.”

Building on the launch of its signature bottle, The Naked Margarita will introduce a collection of striking 125ml cans later this summer, offering the same premium cocktail in a more portable format. Featuring a bold striped design inspired by the perfectly ordered rows of blue agave on the brand’s farm in Jalisco, the cans pay homage to the landscape that sparked the founders’ vision.

The can range (available later in summer) includes:

  • Classic Margarita (10.1% ABV)

  • Verde (10.1% ABV), infused with jalapeño

  • Rosalita (10.1% ABV), infused with strawberry and black pepper

  • Non-Alcoholic Margarita, infused with L-theanine and magnesium (available from 16th July)

Retailing at £4.45 for the alcoholic expressions and £3.95 for the functional non-alcoholic variant, the cans combine premium design with considered sustainability. Digitally printed directly onto aluminium, they eliminate the need for plastic sleeves or adhesive labels, helping to maximise recyclability through conventional recycling streams. Selected 24-can Social Packs will also be available online, making it easy to elevate celebrations, hosting occasions and summer gatherings.

The Naked Margarita is available to purchase from 15th July at www.thenakedmargarita.com, with the range also rolling out across a curated selection of premium retailers and hospitality destinations.
