RAW Charging, the UK’s leading electric vehicle (EV) chargepoint operator for the leisure, hospitality and retail sectors, has launched a new EV charging hub at Charlton Riverside in Southeast London, SE7 7ST.
Highlights
- 28 EV charging bays, including 12 50kW DC rapid charging bays and 16 22kW AC fast charging bays, designed to meet a range of driver needs.
- Located near London City Airport and key retail and leisure destinations including Sainsbury’s, M&S, Boots, Decathlon and PureGym.
- Supports London’s net zero ambitions by expanding access to reliable EV charging for local communities and visitors.
- RAW has been actively expanding charging capacity across East and South East London, with ultra-rapid hubs now open at Eastern Avenue Retail Park, Gallions Reach Shopping Park, Merrielands Retail Park and Forest Hill – together delivering over 65 charging bays.
RAW Charging’s new hub at Charlton Riverside is designed to support shoppers, gym members and commuters alike. The site makes it easier for EV drivers to recharge while using nearby amenities, with a mix of rapid and fast chargers offering flexibility for shorter stops and longer visits.
Supporting London’s transition to sustainable travel
With one in three new vehicles sold in the UK now electric or hybrid, accessible EV charging infrastructure is increasingly important to support the capital’s net zero ambitions. The Charlton Riverside hub contributes to this transition by adding charging capacity in a location used by both local communities and visitors to London City Airport.
Trusted by leading brands
RAW Charging’s partnerships with landlords like Landsec, Aberdeeen and AVIVA Investors demonstrate its experience in delivering EV charging solutions at well-known retail and leisure destinations. These collaborations support RAW’s mission to connect places with infrastructure that makes sustainable travel more practical.
RAW Charging’s turnkey approach helps property owners make better use of underutilised land while supporting wider sustainability and ESG objectives. The Charlton Riverside installation builds on the company’s experience of delivering EV infrastructure at destinations across the UK.
RAW has also been recognised with the Zapmap Best Destination Network Award 2026 and ICC Gold accreditation, underlining its position as an EV charging partner of choice for the UK’s leisure, retail and hospitality destinations.
Jason Simpson, CEO, RAW Charging, said: “We are pleased to open our latest EV charging hub at Charlton Riverside, adding important charging capacity in a well-connected part of southeast London. With 28 new bays, the site gives drivers convenient access to reliable charging while supporting the continued shift towards lower-emission transport.”
