Renais secures nationwide Sainsbury’s listing

Renais Renais, the award-winning luxury gin inspired by the heritage of the Watson family’s vineyard, is significantly expanding its UK retail footprint with a new nationwide listing in 117 Sainsbury’s stores from 27th September 2026.

The new listing follows a significant period of growth for Renais in the UK, including the rollout of Renais Gin into more than 200 Majestic stores nationwide earlier this year and the recent announcement of Renais Vodka – the brand’s first major portfolio expansion beyond gin. Launching in early October, the new vodka will initially be available exclusively through Majestic for three months, alongside the brand’s own website, renais.co.uk.

Since launching in 2023, Renais has steadily built a reputation for its distinctive approach to provenance, flavour and sustainable production. The Sainsbury’s listing marks another major moment in the brand’s off-trade growth strategy, strengthening Renais Gin’s presence across both specialist drinks retailers and the grocery channel as the wider Renais portfolio expands into new spirits categories.

Renais Terroir Gin is a modern expression of gin that celebrates the winemaking heritage of Domaine Watson, the Watson family vineyard in Northern France, distilled from French wine grapes and tastefully imparted with flavours from local terroir and fresh botanicals. Founded by siblings Alex and Emma Watson, the brand combines over 30 years of family winemaking tradition with a contemporary approach to spirits production, resulting in a distinctive gin designed equally for classic cocktails, refreshing spritzes and premium serves over ice.

Alex Watson, CEO and co-founder of Renais, said: “Expanding our retail presence has been a major priority for the business over the past year, and securing a nationwide launch with Sainsbury’s represents another significant milestone for Renais.

“The premium spirits category has become increasingly competitive, so sustainable growth comes from building long-term partnerships with retailers who understand how consumers shop. Having both specialist retail and grocery distribution allows us to introduce Renais to different occasions and drinkers, while remaining true to what makes the brand distinctive”

Renais Terroir Gin will be available in 117 Sainsbury’s stores nationwide from 27th September 2026, alongside its existing nationwide listing across more than 200 Majestic stores.

RRP: £40.00

ABV: 40%

Available from: Sainsbury’s, Majestic, and www.renais.co.uk.
