On Friday, 21st March 2025, leading fashion footwear destination schuh is set to unveil its transformed flagship store in Manchester Trafford Centre. As one of the UK’s most popular shopping destinations, home to over 280 shops and restaurants, the Trafford Centre is a prime location for schuh’s upgraded retail experience.
This new store layout has been carefully designed to offer a seamless customer journey, with improved product displays, full-height ceilings and an immersive brand environment that reflects schuh’s commitment to style and innovation.
To mark this milestone, the re-opening event on launch day is held in partnership with New Balance, one of the most sought-after trainer brands. Customers will be able to explore a dedicated New Balance activation space and installation, showcasing the hottest new releases, timeless icons and performance ranges.
Located on the upper level next to schuh kids, the upgraded store will offer a range of exciting perks and experiences for those visiting on launch day, including custom shoe charms designed by Manchester-based artist nots___. Custom shoe charms will be free for customers purchasing shoes on the day. Complimentary goodie bags filled with exclusive merchandise and freebies will also be available for early visitors.
As part of the redesign, the store has been equipped with state-of-the-art digital screens, enhancing the shopping experience with high-definition visuals that bring schuh’s latest campaign, ‘Together Hits Different’, to life. These screens will showcase the campaign celebrating individuality, self-expression, and the power of coming together through fashion.
Campaign star Clara Rosa, a DJ blending her Filipino heritage with London’s underground scene, will make an appearance at the Trafford Centre store opening with a live DJ set, following a mix from Manchester-based DJ Yasmin Lauryn.
For those who prefer a quieter shopping experience due to sensory needs, the store observes a quiet hour between 10-11am every Wednesday. schuh store staff are trained in disability confidence to ensure everyone feels welcomed, valued and confident to shop at schuh.
The reopening of schuh Trafford Centre marks an exciting evolution for the retailer, bringing together innovation and style, with unrivalled customer service, creating an environment that champions self-expression…
