Small Beer Brew Co

Small Beer, the UK’s original mid-strength brewery and London’s only B Corp certified brewery, is proud to announce its very first collaboration brew with Sorted Food, one of the country’s most innovative food communities. Together, they are launching Blanche, a brew designed for the modern drinker.

Launching on the 31st March, Blanche has an ABV of 2.5% and will be available in 330ml cans available to purchase online via the Small Beer website, RRP £2.25. It will also be available to wholesale and food service channels.

Both Small Beer and Sorted Food share a commitment to sustainability, quality ingredients, and community-driven innovation. With this collaboration, the two brands bring a fresh approach to beer-making, combining Small Beer’s expertise in mid-strength brewing with Sorted Food’s passion for food and flavour.

Small Beer co-founder, James Grundy, said: “Blanche is more than just a beer, it’s a celebration of our shared values with Sorted Food. This is a beer made for the modern drinker – those looking to strike the right social lifestyle balance. We’re thrilled to partner with the Sorted team. It’s been a true grain to glass journey that we’ve been on together, so it’s fantastic to now be bringing this beautiful beer to life with them.

The beer is brewed with finest ingredients, including West Country Wheat from the last remaining UK floor maltings in Warminster, Sussex-grown coriander and Spanish orange peel. These skilfully marry to create the vibrant, citrusy spiced notes that embodies the spirit of innovation and collaboration. The name “Blanche” is a nod to the bright, lively character of the beer, designed to pair perfectly with sunshine and good food, inspired by dishes like burrata with oranges and toasted coriander seeds.

Ben Ebbrell, Sorted Food co-founder, is equally excited about the collaboration: “The whole process of creating Blanche with the Small Beer team has been an incredible journey. From the very beginning, it’s been about community, working with our Sorted Squad and Small Beer’s Big Thinkers to create something delicious. We loved involving our community, from Brewing Day right through to collecting tasting notes from our squad. They’ve really helped bring this beer to life.”

Blanche is designed with the modern drinker in mind, offering an easy drinking option with only 94 calories per can. It’s the perfect choice for those looking for a mid-strength brew without sacrificing bold flavour.

This launch marks an exciting new chapter for Small Beer as it’s the brands first-ever official collaboration brew and the first-ever mid-strength collab brew. The beer will be supported by a launch video on Sorted Food’s YouTube channel and an event at the Small Beer Brewery, on the 30th April.
