Danish lifestyle brand Søstrene Grene has announced plans to open a new store in St Albans, marking its first location in Hertfordshire. The opening represents another step towards the brand’s UK expansion and will introduce local shoppers to its distinctive blend of Scandinavian design, affordable homewares and immersive retail experiences.
Visitors will soon be able to explore the brand’s thoughtfully curated collections of homewares, kitchen essentials, craft supplies, soft furnishings and seasonal décor, all designed to bring simple, stylish touches to everyday living.
Rooted in the Danish concept of hygge, the store has been designed to offer a moment of calm and creativity. Guests will be welcomed into a sensory retail environment where soft lighting, classical music and Søstrene Grene’s signature winding layout create a unique atmosphere of discovery and inspiration.
Mikkel Grene, Group CEO and Co-owner of Søstrene Grene, said: “We are delighted to be opening in St Albans and introducing the Søstrene Grene world to Hertfordshire. Expanding into more regions across the UK reinforces our commitment to making beautiful, accessible products part of everyday life while offering customers a place to find inspiration, enjoy a sense of calm and experience something truly distinctive.”
With more than 400 stores across 18 markets, Søstrene Grene continues to expand internationally while pursuing ambitious growth plans in the UK, including a target of reaching 100 stores nationwide within the next few years.
René Jensen, Head of Retail for Denmark, the UK and Ireland, is also looking forward to the opening.
