Tea retailer Bird & Blend expands UK footprint with Windsor store launch, opening doors to its 30th store

Bird & BlendIndependent tea specialist Bird & Blend Tea Co. has reached a significant milestone in its nationwide expansion, opening its 30th retail store in the UK. The new location, which opened on 9th December, is situated in Windsor and marks the latest phase of the brand’s continued investment in high-street retail.

The 30 store achievement comes just weeks after Bird & Blend’s recent launch at Bluewater Shopping Centre, reinforcing the brand’s accelerated growth since first arriving on the UK high street in 2013.

The new Windsor store brings Bird & Blend’s innovative approach to tea mixology to a new audience. Visitors can explore the brand’s award-winning tea range and Europe’s largest collection of flavoured matcha, with imaginative blends such as Chocolate Digestives, Strawberry Lemonade, Gingerbread Chai, and firm favourites including Earl Grey Crème. The store also offers ceremonial grade matcha and a colourful selection of flavours such as Blueberry Muffin Super Matcha, Ice Cream Matcha, and Banana Matcha.

To celebrate the opening, Bird & Blend has created a Windsor-exclusive blend, Windsor RoyalTEA, a black tea with coconut and raspberry designed to capture the flavours of a sumptuous afternoon tea. 50% of profits from this blend will be donated to the store team’s chosen local charity, Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, which supports children with life-threatening conditions and their families.

The opening has created at least six new jobs in the local area, including a Store Manager, Assistant Manager, and a team of expert tea mixologists.

In addition to its retail offering, the Windsor store, like other stores, will host free live matcha demonstrations, provide personalised tea matching, serve tea and matcha-based drinks to go, and run the brand’s popular Mixology Masterclasses which are hands on sessions where customers learn about tea and even blend their own to take home.

Mike Turner, co-founder & managing director, said: “Opening our 30th store is an incredibly proud moment for the whole Bird & Blend team. Customer experience has always been at the heart of what we do, and while our digital community continues to grow at pace, we remain deeply committed to investing in local high streets and the people who make them special. Our stores are far more than retail spaces—they’re community hubs where customers can connect with our team, with one another, and with the magic of our teas. Celebrating this milestone with a new store opening feels especially meaningful, and we’re thrilled to be bringing the Bird & Blend experience to even more tea lovers across the UK.”

The new Bird & Blend Windsor store is located at:
Unit 9, Windsor Royal Station, Jubilee Arch, Windsor, SL4 1PJ
