Temu ranks as the most downloaded iPhone app in the United Kingdom in 2024, according to App Store data just released by Apple. This underscores the growing popularity and trust in the direct-from-factory platform among Brits.

Globally, Temu holds the #1 position in 24 markets, including the United States, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Australia, South Korea and Mexico. It ranks as the second most downloaded iPhone app in Italy, France and Japan.

Temu began serving customers in the UK in April 2023. UK households could save up to £3,000 per year by shopping on direct-from-factory marketplaces like Temu, a study by the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR) commissioned by the platform showed.

Temu began operation in the US in September 2022, and expanded to Europe the following year. Today, it serves over 80 markets worldwide. Built on fostering a more streamlined and flexible supply chain, Temu’s business model minimizes the number of intermediaries and associated costs, passing the savings on to customers.

As Temu is actively recruiting UK-based sellers to broaden the range of affordable, quality products, UK consumers can now enjoy the convenience of receiving their Temu orders in as little as one business day. This service offers the convenience of timely deliveries and the assurance that gifts will arrive by Christmas.

This initiative to introduce a local-to-local approach is part of a broader effort by Temu to reduce delivery times globally and further expand its merchandise selection. Local warehouse dispatch is now available in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Czechia, Hungary, and Sweden. Outside Europe, the service has been introduced in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
