Tesco is delighted to introduce Taste Discoveries, a new range of dishes designed to bring the thrill of global flavours to your dinner table. From the Tesco Smoky BBQ Beef Bibimbap to the sticky Tesco Aubergine Donburi, the range showcases the rich culinary heritage of Japan and Korea with recipes crafted to excite the senses.
Featuring 16 easy-to-prepare dishes, this collection is for anyone seeking bold flavours but with the convenience of minimal preparation time. Ready in as little as four minutes, these dishes take the stress out of midweek meals or weekend entertaining – perfect for when you’re craving something different or special without leaving the comfort of home or spending hours in the kitchen.
So, whether you’re reminiscing about cherished holidays, dreaming of bustling Tokyo markets, or simply looking for a delicious, affordable and convenient alternative to a takeaway, Taste Discoveries offers restaurant-quality meals that make dining at home feel extraordinary.
Hero Dishes to Spark Joy
With so many incredible options you can enjoy as a meal for one, or mix and match to create a spectacular sharing feast, here are the highlights that truly capture the spirit of the range:
Serves 1
  • Tesco Teriyaki Chicken with Udon Noodles (£4.75/£4.25 with a Clubcard): Succulent chicken thighs flame seared to lock in their flavour, paired with thick udon noodles and a medley of fresh red peppers, julienne carrots, and crisp beansprouts. Coated in a sticky-sweet teriyaki sauce, with hints of hoisin and sesame oil, this dish is a comforting blend of sweet, savoury, and umami.
  • Tesco Sticky Aubergine & Ginger Donburi (£4.75/£4.25 with a Clubcard): Indulge in the bold, earthy notes of roasted aubergine glazed with a sticky soy and ginger sauce. Served over fluffy sushi rice with mushrooms, Pak choi, and edamame this hearty donburi dish offers the perfect balance of smoky richness and fresh crunch. (Suitable for vegetarians).
  • Tesco Chicken & Shiitake Mushroom Bibimbap (£4.75/£4.25 with a Clubcard): Satisfy your craving for something spicy with this vibrant rice bowl, featuring flame-seared chicken, roasted shiitake mushrooms, fresh Pak choi, and tangy pickled vegetables. Tossed in a sweet and spicy gochujang sauce, this dish is inspired by Korea’s iconic bibimbap – ideal for anyone who loves a mix of textures.
Serves 2
  • Tesco Garlic & Ginger Pork Belly with Gochujang Glaze (£7/£6 with a Clubcard): Fall in love with melt-in-the-mouth pork belly, marinated in garlic and ginger, slow cooked for five hours. Thinly slice and finish with the fiery gochujang glaze before toping with a crispy aromatic crumb, to create a high-end dining experience at home with minimal effort.
  • Tesco Tataki Rump Steak with Ponzu Drizzle (£7/£6 with a Clubcard): Enjoy the delicate art of Japanese tataki with this 21-day matured rump steak, lightly seared to perfection. Thinly sliced and drizzled with koji chilli sprinkles, this dish balances the smoky char of the steak with the zingy freshness of citrusy soy.
  • Tesco Karaage Chicken with Gochujang Dip (£3.25/£2.50 with a Clubcard): Bite sized crispy chicken seasoned with garlic and ginger, coated in a golden karaage-style batter. The rich spicy gochujang dip delivers a balance of heat and umami, making this an irresistible snack or side.
  • Tesco Katsu Vegetable Spring Rolls (£2.75/£2.50 with a Clubcard): Crispy hand-wrapped rolls, filled with water chestnuts, fragrant makrut lime leaf, galangal, and a subtle kick of green chilli. Perfectly paired with ponzu or sweet chilli dipping sauces, they bring the light, refreshing crunch of Japanese street food to your table. (Suitable for vegetarians).
Big Flavour, Easy Prep & Exception Value with Tesco Clubcard
Tesco’s Taste Discoveries range, featuring exclusive Clubcard Price offers until the 24 February, is your passport to exciting global flavours.
