The British Fashion Council (BFC) is delighted to announce the return of City Wide Celebration (CWC), a curated programme of unique experiences and activations open to the public throughout September across London, Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle.
CWC brings together designers, retailers, cultural institutions, and premium hospitality venues to celebrate the very best of the UK. Through a dynamic events programme, the initiative bridges culture and commerce, driving nationwide retail engagement and growth while deepening the fashion conversation through cross-sector collaboration and meaningful public participation.
This year, CWC launches ‘At Home With’ presented by 1664 Blanc, a series of talks and panel discussions spotlighting the cultural and geographic roots of some of Britain’s most celebrated designers. As Principal Partner of London Fashion Week (LFW), 1664 Blanc is proud to continue its ongoing commitment to championing emerging designers and making LFW more accessible to a broader audience, both in the capital and nationwide.
Liverpool’s headline event, ‘At Home With’ presented by 1664 Blanc, will take place at Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar in Liverpool ONE on Saturday 6th September from 3pm–5pm.
The panel will bring together celebrated home-grown designers Patrick McDowell, S.S. Daley and Talia Byre for an intimate conversation exploring how Liverpool’s unique spirit and culture continue to shape and inspire creative talent. Together, these designers reflect the city’s creative voice, each with a distinct story rooted in its influence.
  • Patrick McDowell is an independent, sustainable luxury fashion brand at the forefront of creative design. Globally recognised for its commitment to circular business practices and uncompromised quality, the brand consistently pushes boundaries. Patrick McDowell is celebrated for its innovative business model, impactful London Fashion Week shows and for dressing diverse global talent
  • S.S.Daley (Steven Stokey-Daley), a 2022 LVMH Prize winner, launched his eponymous label in 2020 after graduating from the University of Westminster with a BA in Fashion Design. His work, notably featured in Harry Styles’ music video “Golden,” champions sustainability by utilising donated and deadstock fabrics. The brand reinterprets British heritage and class, gaining recognition in publications like British Vogue and i-D
  • Talia Byre designs evoke a timeless sensuality, drawing inspiration from family heirlooms and community. Since graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2020, the brand has rooted its design language in rituals and heritage. Named as a tribute to her great uncle’s boutique, Talia Byre creates garments meant to be repaired, shared, and cherished for years to come
The headline event is part of a three-day celebration of fashion across Liverpool ONE 5th – 7th September including activations in different stores and onsite as part of BFC’s City Wide Celebration.
Donna Howitt, Place Strategy Director at Liverpool ONE, said: “Liverpool has long been a city that sets trends, not follows them, and fashion is a key part of how we express our creativity and identity. We’re incredibly proud to host the British Fashion Council’s City Wide Celebration and to shine a spotlight on the remarkable home-grown talent shaping the future of fashion both locally and globally.
“At Liverpool ONE, we’re passionate about creating spaces where culture, community and retail meet. This collaboration puts Liverpool at the heart of the national conversation, celebrating not just great style, but the people and stories behind it.”
FREE tickets to the ‘At Home With’ event can be booked here. All other events, promotions and activations taking place in participating stores in Liverpool ONE are free and open for the public to attend. The full CWC schedule will be announced later this summer.
