From 18th March, the iconic Fish Finger Wrap returns to menus nationwide – refreshed, refined and better than ever. Long requested by customers, its comeback launches LEON’s new Icon Dishes series, celebrating the food that defines the brand.
More than the return of a single favourite, this moment marks a renewed focus on the flavour, sourcing and care that built LEON’s reputation. The food team has revisited much-loved recipes with a fresh perspective, as Head Development Chef, Chantal, (originally part of LEON’s early team) returns to the kitchen to collaborate with founder John. Ingredients and technique have been elevated while staying true to what people love.
Everything that people loved about the original remains: crispy fish fingers, fresh peppery rocket and a tartare sauce worth shouting about. This time, the kitchen has refined every element, going through more than 50 iterations to perfect a brighter, herb-packed tartare made with the best, most natural ingredients: dill, tarragon and parsley in all their freshest, most wonderful forms.
At heart, the Fish Finger Wrap is LEON’s naturally fast take on a British chippy classic – the nostalgia of paper- wrapped fish and chips, reimagined in wrap form with fresher ingredients and a lighter touch.
The relaunch is the first step in a wider revival ahead of LEON’s Spring Menu. It marks a renewed focus on the things that made people fall in love with LEON in the first place. Familiar favourites will be returning to the menu with a chef ’s touch, alongside thoughtful new dishes that reflect seasonal ingredients at their best.
With founder John Vincent back in the kitchen, Spring will be the start of a new chapter. Not just a new menu, a return to the spirit that started it all: proper ingredients and food that makes you feel good after eating it.
