This past weekend, The Fragrance Shop made history by bringing the Artificial Intelligence fragrance-making machine EveryHuman to Manchester for the first time in the North. During a two-day pop-up event at the Manchester Trafford Centre, customers were invited to create their bespoke scents using the world’s first AI fragrance machine  – the first 25 of which received a TFS goody bag.

This incredible experience allowed participants to craft unique fragrances based on a personalised questionnaire, blending 46 scent building blocks to generate individualised scent profiles. The event was met with great enthusiasm and provided a fragrance experience like no other.

The revolutionary AI-guided machine allows users to create one-of-a-kind, completely bespoke fragrances based on information they enter via a questionnaire. Questions range from personal to fragrance-specific – ‘Are you a realist or a dreamer? Is your style more business, hipster or sporty? How do you like to spend your spare time?’ This information feeds into a data system made up of 46 scent building blocks; a combination of natural and synthetic molecules, which then generates 3 corresponding unique scent profiles. Users can view the various ingredients inside each formula, of which there are tens of thousands of potential combinations, and then decide if they’d like to purchase the products (priced at £45 for 3x 5ml). If they’d like to go ahead, the machine creates three of their very own personalised fragrances in real-time on-site, in just over a minute.

Although the pop-up has now concluded, this incredible AI fragrance-making experience is still available at The Fragrance Shop’s flagship store on Oxford Street in London.
