It’s been a record-breaking year for The Fragrance Shop as it opened its flagship store on Oxford Street in November, launched the UK’s first AI scent creation machine, Every Human, and expanded its retail portfolio with 13 new stores.

The retailer has reported exceptional end-of-year results for the 12 months to 1 April 2024 with a 6.1 per cent like-for-like sales increase and overall continuing business growth of 9.4 per cent.

Among many other successful brands their portfolio, Barbour grew 55 per cent, Versace has grown by 48 per cent and Jean Paul Gaultier by 40 per cent compared to the previous year.

The Fragrance Shop currently operates 223 stores across the UK, with plans to surpass 300 locations over the next three fiscal years, as well as rolling out to international markets.

Chief executive Sanjay Vadera MBE said: “I’m very proud of the year we’ve had at TFS.

“Launching an experiential flagship store on Oxford Street that immerses our customers in a world of luxury and niche fragrances, as well as the UK’s first ever AI scent creation machine, Every Human, has been a great success.

“We’ve also seen incredible growth within our membership program, MyTFS, which is now a thriving community of over one million members and have continued to expand our retail footprint across the UK with 13 new stores.

“This year, we will be celebrating a huge milestone – 30 years in business! We have plans to expand our store portfolio even further across the UK, as well as delivering continued growth of our MyTFS and scentaddict programs.

“We are already a CPD accredited business for all of our education programs and are now focusing on achieving ISO9001, which is the standard for quality management systems.

“This supports our ambition to grow into international markets.

“It’s a very exciting year ahead for us.”
