Tilda sets sights on further growth in Ready-to-Heat with revamped Spicy Mexican Rice

Tilda Tilda, the UK’s number one rice brand has revitalised its popular Ready-to-Heat Spicy Mexican Rice, bringing shoppers an even bolder flavour experience as part of a drive to capture even more of the Ready-to-Heat market.

The 250g pouch now features a new-and-improved fiery, tomato-based recipe designed to bring extra heat to tacos, burritos, and BBQ dishes, while eye-catching new packaging boosts standout and recognition on shelf.

Packed with black beans, sweetcorn, red peppers, and fired up with chipotle and jalapeño chillies, the updated recipe delivers a fiesta of flavour in minutes – ideal for quick lunches, burrito bowls or easy midweek dinners.

The revamped Spicy Mexican Rice is available now in most major retailers (RRP: £1.25).

Launch rationale: Mexican is the second biggest flavour in Ready-to-Heat rice, driven by the positive perception of its fresh ingredients, which Tilda delivers with no artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives. The refreshed recipe and packaging also significantly outperformed the previous format in consumer testing.
