VITA offers “lightning-fast” e-commerce deliveries with nShift

Cosmetics retailer VITA has made ‘lightning-fast’ home delivery a key part of its new e-commerce checkout experience. This guarantees in-store click-and-collect shopping in just 30 minutes and next-day delivery to larger parts of Norway. The company has implemented nShift’s delivery management and experience platform to power this bold delivery promise.

Norway’s online shoppers are the most likely in the Nordics to seek speedy deliveries – even if they have to pay for it. By placing quick deliveries at the center of its ecommerce offer, VITA is continuing to prioritize its customers’ needs and maintain a competitive advantage.

nShift connects VITA’s ecommerce platform with its warehouse and delivery carriers, so new orders are processed automatically and at speed. Using the software, VITA’s delivery managers can ensure its delivery promise is met, by tracking the status of each delivery and monitoring carriers’ overall performance.

nShift also helps VITA to make sure its delivery offer reflects customer needs, by making it easy to add new options, such as click-and-collect, out-of-home, and express deliveries. Increased delivery choice at checkout can help increase conversion rates by as much as 20%.

Founded in 1981, VITA is one of Norway’s largest health and beauty retailers. It has 117 stores nationwide while its e-commerce site offers around 12,000 products. The new VITA.no checkout combines nShift’s delivery management with Avensia Nitro’s address management and Adyen’s payments platform.

Kristian Sonnenberg, chief of digitalization & technology, VITA said: “Speed and flexibility are at the heart of our lightning-fast delivery experience with customers now able to pick-up their purchase in just 30 minutes from conveniently located stores. From our automated warehouse in central Norway, we ensure customers get what they want, when they want it while offering multiple transport partners means we give shoppers the freedom to choose the delivery option that suits them best. With nShift, we’re able to deliver on that promise every single day.”

Stuart Prouse, VP customer management, nShift added: “Forward-looking retailers like VITA increasingly recognize the importance of deliveries to their ecommerce success – they’re no longer purely a matter of logistics. The options retailers offer, and the promises they make in terms of delivery times, help cement customer loyalty and increase revenues.”

Tor Eivind Aurdal, chief sales officer, Avensia concluded: “By integrating Avensia’s solutions with nShift’s delivery management, VITA can now offer a smoother and faster checkout experience. This collaboration demonstrates how digital experience and logistics innovation come together to meet today’s customer expectations.”
