Wickes Group Plc, the UK’s home improvement retailer, is delighted to announce the appointment of Sarah Taitt as chief property and services officer. In this newly created role, Sarah will report directly to David Wood, CEO and will join the Wickes Executive Board.

Taitt joined Wickes in September 2022 as property director. In her new role she will continue to be responsible for the Property function, leading the development and growth of c.230 stores and will also take on responsibility for the Installation business, which comprises the fitting of Wickes’ kitchens, bathrooms and other larger installation projects delivered by more than 3,000 Wickes-approved installer teams.

Before joining Wickes, Taitt was director of purchasing for the British Virgin Islands leading retail group, Riteway. She has also held a number of senior management roles in property and procurement within the retail sector including four years at Aldi before becoming Director of Property, Procurement and Store Development at Homebase.

David Wood, CEO, comments on Taitt’s promotion: “Sarah has made a huge impact since she joined in 2022. Sarah’s laser focus of getting it right for the stores, her tenacity and speed in developing the store network and relentless focus to maximise value have been exceptional. This promotion is very well deserved and Sarah will be a tremendous addition to the Wickes Executive team.”

Commenting on her new role Taitt said: “I’m thrilled to be taking on a bigger role within such a fantastic business and looking forward to being part of the executive team as we develop and execute our exciting growth strategy.”
