YEEP! scales past 2,000 lockers as solar-powered rollout gathers pace

YEEP!YEEP! one of the UK’s fastest-growing parcel locker networks, has reached another milestone: over 2,000 lockers now live nationwide, including more than 700 running entirely on solar power.  All lockers were developed and are supplied by kernTerminal, a leading innovator in secure parcel solutions.

This latest announcement comes just days after YEEP! unveiled the country’s first and largest solar-powered parcel locker network, marking a period of rapid expansion and innovation. In just four months, YEEP! has doubled its footprint, with its bright green lockers appearing in residential areas, and at forecourts, convenience stores, gyms, and transport hubs across the UK.

“This milestone isn’t just about numbers, it’s about momentum,” said Noël Shapton, CEO and co-founder of YEEP!. “From 1,000 to 2,000 lockers, while launching the UK’s first solar-powered network, shows that our approach is resonating with both hosts and customers.”

Each locker consolidates multiple parcel drop-offs into a single local point, cutting van journeys, lowering emissions, and offering 24/7 secure collection and returns. For hosts, every installation delivers guaranteed annual income and increased footfall, all with no upfront cost, no mains power, and no disruption.

YEEP!’s next-gen solar lockers represent a leap forward in sustainable last-mile delivery. Operating entirely off-grid, they rely on integrated solar panels and long-life rechargeable batteries, reducing maintenance, extending lifespan, and eliminating the need for replacements.

“Consumers want convenience, hosts want simplicity,” Shapton adds. “Our lockers tick both boxes: no mains connection, no groundworks, no hassle. Whether they’re battery or solar-powered, they help people collect and return parcels on their own schedule, 24/7, securely and sustainably. And now, we’re scaling faster than ever.”

As part of its major partnership with DPD, YEEP! is installing 8,000 lockers over the next five years, expanding access to sustainable, out-of-home parcel delivery and making everyday convenience a reality for communities nationwide.

“Crossing 2,000 lockers is a big moment for our team and our partners,” Shapton concludes. “With new installations happening weekly and more hosts joining, we’re excited to keep expanding convenience, sustainability, and access across the UK.”
