Zheng Qinwen visited Galeries Lafayette Paris in partnership with Alipay+

Alipay+Chinese tennis star and Alipay+ brand ambassador Zheng Qinwengraced Galeries Lafayette Haussmann in Paris for a special event blending sports and fashion. The occasion showcased Alipay+, a global wallet gateway that offers cross-border payment and digitalisation services under Ant International.

The event underscored Galeries Lafayette’s unwavering commitment to elevating the shopping experience for international visitors, further reinforcing its status as a premier department store destination in Paris. As the leading department store in Europe by revenue, Galeries Lafayette welcomes over 37 million visitors annually and employs more than 5,000 dedicated collaborators.

Zheng Qinwen demonstrated the convenience of making direct payments with Alipay+, where international users can make convenient payments via QR code just like they do at home. This presentation drew significant attention from visitors and fans, highlighting how mobile cross-border  payments are transforming the shopping experience for international customers visiting Paris.

Galeries Lafayette is a popular shopping destination for Chinese travellers that has been at the forefront of improving the shopping experience for international visitors, particularly through digital payment innovations. Through its continued partnership with Alipay+, the department store has made the checkout process faster, smoother, and more convenient for global travellers.

“It’s been a pleasure to host this special event today at Paris’s most famous department store, bringing together two of my biggest interests: sports and fashion. I’ve experienced how Alipay+’s tech innovations are enhancing the tourism experience, helping international travellers shop, dine, and explore Parisian culture with ease, allowing them to experience the city like a local,” said Zheng Qinwen, Brand Ambassador for Alipay+.

The event reinforced Galeries Lafayette’s leadership in offering a seamless and digitally advanced shopping experience for global tourists in Paris.

Alipay+ partners with 36 digital wallets and banking apps to serve 1.6 billion user accounts worldwide and is enabled in 66 markets globally, connecting over 90 million merchants.
