Co-op and Just Eat today reveal changes for online shoppers as Co-op becomes the first supermarket to introduce member price savings on the Just Eat platform.

Delivering additional value, approaching 150 everyday products and essentials have seen an average price saving of almost 37% with Co-op member prices now available online as well as in store for shoppers via Just Eat, with the added convenience of quick and convenient home delivery.

Co-op has grown its quick commerce channel at pace through its own online shop and with strategic partners such as Just Eat who it has worked with since 2022 – Just Eat is now available from over 1,000 Co-op stores.

Online orders are picked fresh in the local store, and delivered quickly and conveniently in the community – often in as little as 60 minutes or less. Co-op’s approach ensures the high street store also benefits from online demand and, with a store in every postal area, around 86% of the UK population now has access to Co-op groceries online.

Gary Kisby, Co-op’s Qcommerce trading sirector, said: “We continually work to create new ways to deliver quality and value to our members and customers – it is a cornerstone of our online convenience approach. As a co-operative, our membership makes us different. We are committed to offering great value, deals and promotions for everyone to enjoy, while providing additional savings to those who own our business, our members. We are delighted to introduce member price savings with Just Eat, ensuring added value across an extensive range and choice of everyday essentials which are available quickly and conveniently online from local Co-op stores.”

Caroline Bates, Just Eat’s grocery & retail director, said, “More and more people are turning to Just Eat for their everyday grocery needs, whether it’s a quick midweek top-up or that last missing ingredient for a special meal. We want grocery shopping on Just Eat to feel easy, rewarding and offer great value. Customers have told us that access to member pricing really matters, so we’re delighted to be delivering this with Co-op, helping people save on everyday essentials. Alongside this, we’re continuing to offer popular deals like Half Price Wednesdays and recent savings of up to 60 per cent on fresh fruit and vegetables, to make sure our customers are getting the best value possible”.

To receive the price saving benefits, Co-op members are prompted to add their membership number when shopping on the Co-op page on the Just Eat app.

Products include wholemeal farmhouse loaf (£0.89); baked beans (£0.40); milk (£0.85); spaghetti (£0.75); Co-op’s outdoor bred British bacon (£1.69); eggs (£1.55), tomato ketchup (£0.89); natural Greek yogurt (£0.95); fresh fruit and veg including cucumbers (£0.89); six salad tomatoes (£0.99); Italian chopped tomatoes in tomato juice (£0.45);  frozen mixed vegetables (£.074) and, to take care of the dishes after the meal, Co-op washing-up liquid (£0.56).

Co-op is committed to creating value for its members and communities. It is one of the world’s largest consumer-owned co-operatives, with its history dating back more than 180 years. Its 7m members own the business and play an intrinsic part in the governance of the organisation.
