Aldi secures deal with Highland Spring to stock new flavoured sparkling water cans

Highland SpringAldi Scotland has secured a deal with prominent spring water supplier Highland Spring to stock its Sparkling Fruit Flavoured Water Cans at its famously low Aldi prices.

Aldi, which was named the UK’s Cheapest Supermarket 2021 and 2022, will bring two of the most popular flavours to shoppers on 15 June.

The deal, which sees Highland Spring branded products stocked in Aldi for the first time since 2021, will initially bring more than 75,000 units to shelves.

Every drop of Highland Spring comes from the Ochil Hills, in Perthshire, ensuring the water is as pure as can be, and is served just as nature intended.

The perfect summer refreshers, Aldi will unveil the delicious Pear & Elderflower; and Blackberry, Plum & Hibiscus editions this Thursday. In keeping with the ethos of Highland Spring, these handy 330ml cans use natural source spring water and 100% natural flavours. At under 35 calories per can, each product is free from artificial sweeteners and contains no added sugar.

Responding to a growing trend in elevated water products, Highland Spring first launched its range of Sparkling Fruit Flavoured Water in 2021, and has sold more than 1.4 million to date, making it one of the supplier’s most successful ranges.

Each of the flavour combinations have been specially formulated to showcase the best of nature and offer a fabulously fruity experience for the taste buds. All the products in the Sparkling Fruit Flavoured water range are also 100% recyclable.

Graham Nicolson, Group Buying Director, Aldi Scotland, said: “Highland Spring is one of Scotland’s great food and drink success stories. Its naturally sourced Scottish water products are exceptionally popular with customers, and we are excited to bring this range of sparkling flavoured water to shoppers for a fraction of the price.

“Over the past few years, we have seen a growing appetite for more exotic water creations, and this range of summer refreshers complements our on-the-go offering.

“Since our Scottish buying department was established in 2009 we have remained steadfast in our vision to support local suppliers in bringing quality products to shelves at competitive prices.

“Today, we remain the cheapest supermarket in the UK, and we are proud that through our buying and retail model, these on-the-go cans will retail at just £0.99p.”

Highland Spring Sparkling Water cans will be available across all 104 Aldi stores for just 99p.
