For AW24, ARKET highlights wool as a material in its design library by introducing a strictly curated knitwear collection made with yarns of NATIVATM Regenerative Wool. The line features pieces for men, women, children and the home in a palette of browns boasting natural beauty.
NATIVATM wool is fully traceable and has been sourced with a regenerative approach that focuses on soil health, biodiversity of the lands and the welfare of animals and workers. The certification guarantees that NATIVATM standards are protected at every step of the supply chain, from farms and mills to spinners, knitters, and garment makers.
To best serve the properties and qualities of the wool, the line offers garments and objects of lasting simplicity. Plain and ribbed structures run through the collection while the menswear jumpers lean towards a heavier weight, letting the feel of these yarns shine through. For women, ARKET proposes a forward-looking approach to knitwear, with relaxed jumpers at the core of a modular set of layers. For children, this translates to a three-piece set of crew- neck jumper, joggers and hood. Nodding at the tradition of woolen textiles in the brand’s homeware offerings, the collection is complemented by a standout woven blanket in a rich mélange of beige.
A fundamental material in ARKET collections since the brand’s inception in 2017, wool is valued for its warmth and durability. It is also breathable, moisture-wicking, and resistant to odours and wrinkles, and when cared for properly, it can maintain its quality and appearance over time. The NATIVATM Regenerative Wool used in ARKET products comes from farms in Argentina and Uruguay and is also certified by the Responsible Wool Standard.
The collection is available from Autumn 2024.
