Asda launches new Ranch Style Mayonnaise for just £1.10 as World Cup ranch mania takes off

Asda is bringing the biggest World Cup food obsession to UK shoppers, as ‘ranch mania’ sweeps social media and even prompts a warning from the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA). With football fans attempting to bring bottles home in their suitcases after discovering the cult condiment, Asda is giving shoppers a much easier way to get their ranch fix thanks to its new Ranch Style Mayonnaise and existing range of ranch favourites.

While millions have travelled Stateside for the FIFA World Cup, it isn’t just the football that’s captured attention. Social media has been flooded with videos of international supporters discovering ranch dressing for the first time, with many declaring themselves instant converts and even attempting to take bottles home in luggage across the Atlantic.

Thankfully, for British fans returning home with a craving for the creamy American classic, Asda has the perfect solution, with a range of ranch favourites available in stores and online, meaning there’s no need to risk an awkward airport security encounter.

Leading the line-up is NEW Asda Ranch Style Mayonnaise (270g, £1.10), a cool and creamy mayonnaise-style sauce made with soured cream and chives that’s perfect for dipping, drizzling and adding an American-inspired twist to everything from burgers, wraps and loaded fries.

The retailer also offers its popular Asda Ranch Dressing (250ml, £1.04 or two for £2 offer), made with buttermilk, garlic, parsley and chives, also currently rated 4.5 stars on Asda.com, alongside the Asda Light Ranch Dressing (250ml, £1.04), for shoppers looking for a lighter option without compromising on flavour. And perfect for pizza crusts and fries, Asda offers a Ranch Dip as part of its Take Out Club pizza range (£1.25, 90g).

An Asda spokesperson said: “It’s been brilliant to see ranch dressing become one of the unexpected stars of the World Cup. Social media has been full of fans discovering it for the first time, and judging by the TSA’s recent reminder, some people have become so obsessed they’re trying to bring bottles home from the game with them!

“Whether you’ve caught the ranch bug in America or simply want to see what all the fuss is about, shoppers can pick up our delicious range of ranch products in stores and online.”
