Brook Taverner, the British menswear brand founded in 1912, has opened its newest store on Guildford High Street for tailoring, smart casualwear and occasion dressing.
Opening at the height of the summer social season, the new store gives Surrey men a new destination for weddings, holidays, Royal Ascot, race days and every occasion in between. The stylish menswear collection features sharp suits and smart casual ranges, making it easy to build a wardrobe for both milestone moments and everyday life.
Located at 76 High Street, Guildford, the store also offers a dedicated wedding service, helping grooms, best men and wedding parties discover luxury tailoring, expert styling advice and the perfect fit for the big day.
Guildford becomes Brook Taverner’s 17th UK store, reflecting the brand’s continued investment in town centres at a time when many high streets are facing increasing pressure from online shopping. While shopping habits continue to evolve, many customers still appreciate the opportunity to try on clothing and receive expert advice in stores.
Brook Taverner has opened an average of two stores a year since 2017 and is targeting a UK estate of up to 30 locations in the next 5 years. Alongside its new Guildford store, Brook Taverner is also available online through the Brook Taverner website, NEXT, and a number of wholesale and concession partners, giving customers the best of both in-store and online shopping.
Oliver Campbell, Brook Taverner’s retail director, said: “Guildford is exactly the kind of location where we believe Brook Taverner can add something meaningful to the high street. Men still want proper advice, quality clothing and a store experience that helps them buy with confidence – especially when dressing for work, weddings, holidays and important occasions.
“With more than 100 years of tailoring expertise behind us, our role is to help men build wardrobes that fit well, last well and make them feel good. Opening in Guildford is another important step in our continued investment in service-led retail and in bringing modern British menswear to customers across the UK.”
The Guildford store launch was marked with an opening event attended by Surrey locals including Phil Spencer and Ed Chamberlin.
