Driven by the growing popularity of outdoor cooking and entertaining trends, more and more people are bringing authentic pizzeria experiences to the comfort of home, elevating garden cookouts and summer mealtime repertoires*.

With research showing that sales of pizza dough pucks are up by a third in 2025 vs 2024*, Asda also reports that searches for ‘Pizza Dough’ on Asda.com have spiked by 95%*, and searches for ‘Pizza Oven’ are too up 90%* , proving that Brits want a slice of all the (pizza) action this summer.

66% of Asda’s shoppers have reported to buy pizza dough to save money instead of eating out, since the average cost of a pizza in a UK eatery is on average £14 per person, that’s £56 for a family of four* – not including any extras!

Launching just in time for the summer holidays, is Asda’s NEW Pizza Dough (£1.98). Perfect for creating pizzas at home, the 400g versatile, ready-to-roll dough can be stretched to a desired shape and size – allowing for family fun and some DIY in the kitchen. Saving the dough, it costs just £1.98 at Asda, making two full-sized 9-inch pizzas for just 99p each.

The dough is made with a splash of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Sourdough – currently trending online with over 500,000 #sourdough posts on TikTok in the last year alone*.

Following its debut launch last year, Asda’s Garlic & Herb Grated Cheese Blend (£2.54) saw over a 2,000% search spike on Asda.com after a social media post by New Foods UK made the product go viral, with customers saying “would bang on pizza in the pizza oven” and “we had this on pizza the other day, it was lush”*. Bringing customers some new goodness with an even bigger pizza-themed flare, Asda has now launched a NEW Grated Pizza Cheese Blend (£2.54), which includes a classic blend of Mozzarella, Mature Cheddar and Gouda cheeses – perfect for topping up DIY pizzas and satisfying that cheese craving.

With approximately 47% of Brits now preferring to use outdoor cooking appliances*, to bring it all to life, Asda shoppers can snap up the George Home Grill Top Pizza Oven (WAS £49, NOW £39), currently on sale at select Asda stores. Allowing for the cooking of authentic style pizzas, it can use gas or BBQ charcoal to make the magic happen, and includes a ceramic pizza stone for those all-important crispy bases.

Customers can shop Asda’s new Pizza Dough, and all other products and appliances now, in stores and online on Asda.com and George.com.
