Baileys Chocolate expands range for Valentine’s Day

Leading Irish chocolatier, Lir Chocolates, is expanding its Baileys Chocolates range this Valentine’s Day with the launch of Strawberries & Cream Truffles. The launch follows on from the success of the popular Baileys Chocolate Strawberries & Cream Hearts which also return on shelf for the third year running. The new Truffles tap into consumers looking for indulgent sharing moments and are available from Asda stores nationwide, RRP £6.

The Baileys Strawberries & Cream Truffles perfectly blend the luxurious taste of fresh strawberries and cream, with the iconic taste of Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur for a velvety smooth cream filling encased in a crisp milk-chocolate shell.

Alison Robson, marketing manager at Lir Chocolates, said: “Our new Strawberries & Cream Truffles are the perfect indulgent, option for consumers who are watching what they spend but still want to gift loved ones or treat themselves to premium chocolate. Chocolates are a popular gifting item for seasonal diary dates like Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day – and with new products being a key purchasing driver for consumers, this launch allows retailers to drive sales with an affordable luxury chocolate option from a trusted and well-known brand that never compromises on taste.”

Also, returning to shelves this year from the brand is the Baileys Chocolate Strawberries & Cream Hearts. Available from selected Morrisons stores and other quality retailers (RRP £4), this sharing box includes nine heart-shaped milk chocolates with a Baileys flavoured Strawberries & Cream truffle filling.

Lir was founded in 1987 by Connie Doody and Mary White and since then, the craft behind truly exceptional hand-finished and hand-decorated chocolates has been central to the business. The team at Lir is constantly exploring, experimenting, and pushing the boundaries of what is possible at the hands of the modern chocolatier.
