Banana TreeAward winning Banana Tree is giving students the ultimate upgrade this Freshers’ season a chance to upgrade instant noodles for a delicious FREE Pad Thai

The flavour-packed new initiative that swaps late-night instant noodles for something far better is part of Banana Tree’s loyalty programme the Big Student Flavour Club

From now until 10th October, the Big Student Noodle Swap will invite students to bring a packet of in-date instant noodles to their local Banana Tree between 3-6pm and exchange them for a steaming bowl of the restaurant’s famous Pad Thai, worth £14.50 (chicken or tofu).

Students simply need to order a side and a soft drink to qualify, proving once and for all that instant noodles are out and proper flavour is in.

For those who like to go big, there’s also the option to upgrade to the brand-new Steak Pad Thai – a bold, indulgent twist on the classic favourite.

And the best part? All instant noodles collected will be donated directly to local food banks, ensuring that every pack makes a positive difference while students tuck into something far more satisfying.

The Big Student Noodle Swap also marks the official launch of the Big Student Flavour Club, a loyalty programme designed exclusively for students that delivers unbeatable value, exciting flavours, and the chance to shape Banana Tree’s future student offers.

Benefits include £10 credit when signing up, rotating deals and freebies, exclusive early access to new dishes, and ongoing offers like three sides for the price of two – all designed to make bold, pan-Asian food even more accessible on a student budget.

As part of the launch, Banana Tree is also on the hunt for three Student Ambassadors to become the voice of the Big Student Flavour Club. Each ambassador will receive a free meal every week from October to July – a foodie side hustle valued at around £500 – while also helping co-create student-friendly dishes and deals that reflect what students really want.

To apply, all they have to do is upload a reel to their instagram about why they love Banana Tree and invite Banana Tree to be a collaborator. The winners will be contacted.

A Banana Tree spokesperson said: “University life is too short for instant noodles. We know students love value, but we also know they deserve proper flavour. That’s why we’ve launched the Big Student Flavour Club to swap bland for bold and bring students into the heart of Banana Tree. Plus, with all instant noodles donated to local food banks, we’re making sure every pack still makes a difference.”

Whether you’re a fresher or a returning student, Banana Tree is serving up a flavour revolution this September one that turns instant noodles into unforgettable Pad Thai and makes bold pan-Asian food a staple of student life.
