Bathtub Gin, the double-infused craft gin made in Kent, has partnered with food writer, Cooking Made Simple author and Come For Supper podcast host, Alexandra Dudley on a limited-edition organic cotton tea towel that will be gifted with every bottle at Sainsbury’s, Asda and Morrisons throughout the summer, while stocks last. Hand-drawn and featuring Dudley’s signature summer punch recipe alongside cocktail sketches and citrus motifs, the tea towel forms the centrepiece of a wider summer activation built around the brand’s ‘gin of hosting’ positioning.
The partnership is the third in Bathtub Gin’s series of hosting-led collaborations, following limited-edition product launches with ceramicist Harlie Brown and restaurant duo Tart London. Together they form a deliberate platform aimed at the growing occasion of consumers entertaining more frequently at home.
The partnership extends beyond the grocery activation into social, with Dudley acting as Bathtub Gin’s resident hosting agony aunt – answering followers’ real-life hosting dilemmas on the brand’s Instagram.
Hannah Burden-Teh, global brand ambassador for Bathtub Gin, says: “Alexandra brings a warm, unfussy approach to entertaining that genuinely resonates with her audience — they cook, they host, they care about how a table comes together. That makes her the ideal partner for Bathtub Gin’s hosting platform, and a tea towel is the perfect object: it lives in the kitchen, it gets used, and it puts her signature punch recipe straight into people’s homes.
“The campaign also taps into a broader shift in drinks behaviour. As family-style dining and sharing plates have returned to the centre of the table, large-format serves like the punch have come back into favour, carrying with them a wave of eighties nostalgia. Pre-batched, served from a bowl and shared communally, punches suit a more relaxed style of entertaining that aligns naturally with Bathtub Gin’s home consumption occasion”.
Alexandra Dudley says:
“Punch has such a generosity to it.”There’s something wonderfully relaxed about serving drinks from a bowl rather than shaking cocktails one by one all evening. It instantly changes the atmosphere and lets you actually spend time with your guests. That sense of ease is something Bathtub Gin understands so well.
“Bathtub Gin has always been my go-to for cocktails at home – it’s so flavourful that it makes even the simplest serve feel special and the beautiful wax-dipped bottle means it’s the gin I reach for when I’m gifting, too. To bring that together with a tea towel – something I’m always collecting – felt like the perfect collaboration.”
Produced in Kent, Bathtub Gin is made using cold compounding — one of the oldest and rarest methods in gin-making. The spirit is double-infused for extra depth of flavour: six hand-selected botanicals (juniper, orange peel, coriander seed, cassia, cardamom and cloves) are steeped in a bespoke London Dry gin for a minimum of three weeks and never redistilled. Each batch is hand-tasted before being wrapped, strung and wax-dipped by hand. The result is a gin lightly tinted by its own botanicals, with the full character of the steep in every bottle — and more than 40 international awards to its name, including Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Awards.
