Black Sheep Coffee, the Robusta rebels shaking up the UK coffee scene, are continuing their expansion across Scotland with a standout new opening on Argyle Street on 12th May 2026.
Located within the historic Buck’s Head Building, a listed and highly recognisable corner site, the new store occupies one of the most prominent positions on Argyle Street. The unit sits directly opposite a newly opening Holland & Barrett and forms one of the two main entrances into the St Enoch’s Shopping Centre – placing it firmly at the centre of Glasgow’s busy retail flow. This key landmark location marks a significant moment for the brand in Glasgow, building on an already strong presence in the city.
The spacious store will feature approximately 90 seats, alongside the potential for external seating, offering a versatile, all-day environment. Inside, customers can expect Black Sheep Coffee’s signature design details, including bold graffiti artwork and the brand’s distinctive visual identity- designed to create an energetic space for meeting, working or taking a break from the city.
This opening is delivered in partnership with SUR Coffee Group, Black Sheep Coffee’s established franchise partner in Scotland. With over 12 years of operational experience and a team of more than 500 employees, the group already runs several successful Glasgow locations, including the award-winning Byres Road and Sauchiehall Street stores.
Black Sheep Coffee’s roots in Scotland remain a defining part of the brand’s identity. Co-founders Eirik and Gabriel first met as university students in the country, and that early ambition to challenge the norms of traditional coffee culture continues to shape the business today.
The Argyle Street store will serve the full Black Sheep Coffee menu, from 100% specialty-grade Robusta coffee and ceremonial-grade matcha to freshly made Norwegian waffles, all-day breakfast and premium bakery items, all within a space designed to energise the high street from morning through to evening.
Tariq Din commented on the launch: “We’re incredibly excited about this Argyle Street opening. It’s a landmark site in Glasgow and exactly the kind of location that suits what Black Sheep Coffee is all about: high energy, high footfall and a real mix of people throughout the day. The aim is to create a space where people can meet, recharge and be part of the city.”
