Blank Street launches Cold Brew Hotline to hand-deliver free Cold Brew during the summer

Blank StreetCoffee shop Blank Street is answering the nation’s cries – launching an on-demand Cold Brew Hotline to hand-deliver Cold Brew to those in need of an iced coffee this summer amidst the threat of train strikes and unpredictable weather.

The launch comes after new research commissioned by Blank Street reveals that a third (34%) of Brits rely on a cold coffee during the summer months, whether it’s rain or shine; with it second only to water as the nation’s go-to summer sip.

According to the survey, coffee has a significant impact on emotions – with disappointment (14%), frustration (13%) and tiredness (11%) reported to be the top consequences of Brits who are out of reach of their favourite iced drink.

In light of this, Blank Street has created the answer to the nation’s despair. Introducing: The Cold Brew Hotline. Designed to relieve Brits of their anger and frustration, Blank Street has launched the hotline to provide instant relief to those in a coffee crisis.

To be in with the chance of being greeted with free Cold Brew right on their doorstep, all Brits need to do is dial up the Cold Brew Hotline (or, rather, cold-line) and report their icy needs. Blank Street’s Cold Brew Cart will be hitting streets all over London from 17th-28th July, with a selection of drinks from their revolutionary new Cold Brew menu.

The cart will also be popping up at various locations around London across the period, ensuring those on-the-go can still get their hands on a FREE Cold Brew fix.

It’s not just any drink that Blank Street will be delivering – the coffee shop is on a mission to spread the word about Cold Brew, following reports that nearly two thirds (63%) of the nation don’t know any differences between traditional iced coffee and Cold Brew, despite the latter having over double the caffeine content and a richer flavour profile. What’s more, a further three in five (61%) revealed that they are reluctant to change their coffee order.

The Cold Brew Hotline is here to change all that. Blank Street’s own unique recipe takes the definition of Cold Brew one step further with its innovative Cold Brew Shot – a one-of-a-kind concentrated shot of specialty graded Cold Brew, which is used as a base instead of espresso. Made by steeping ground coffee in cold water for 12 – 24 hours, this shot has a smoother flavour and higher caffeine content than traditional espresso.

Packed full of flavour with rich hazelnut and milk chocolate tones, hotline-hitters can take their pick from three of Blank Street’s expertly crafted Cold Brew menu: consisting of traditional Cold Brew, clean-cut Cortado Cold Brew, and treacly Shaken Brown Sugar Cold Brew.

Ignacio Llado, UK MD at Blank Street said: “ We know that spirits may be down at the moment, with rain and travel troubles leading to a host of cancelled plans. At Blank Street, we’re all about providing a pick-me-up to your day, from our friendly baristas to our bright interiors, which become a daily ritual. This is why we’ve launched the Cold Brew Hotline, to hand deliver fresh Cold Brew to those in need of a little boost – perking up mood and energy levels, one sip at a time!”
