Piglet in BedBritish bedding and lifestyle brand, Piglet in Bed – known for their 100% linen bedding and other natural homewares – is delighted to reveal they will be opening their first store in Harrogate this December. Running as an ecommerce-only business since it was founded by Jessica Hanley from her mother’s garden shed in rural West Sussex 2017, this year marked a very exciting first step into physical retail for Piglet in Bed: a year that saw them open four UK concessions, and now their first store.
Opening on Harrogate’s James Street on Saturday 9th December, shoppers can expect to see a mix of items from Piglet in Bed’s collection of linen and cotton bedding, sleepwear, and other natural homewares. This will include some of their most popular linen bedding colours and patterns across duvet covers, sheets, and pillowcases – all of which can be mixed and matched to create a unique bedding bundle. They will also be stocking some of their smaller, giftable pieces, including Christmas decorations, cosy alpaca wool socks, their new scented candles and diffuser collection, and a range of merino wool Christmas stockings made here in the UK that will be exclusive to the Harrogate store.
“This is a real landmark moment for us as a business. For the last seven years, since we launched Piglet in Bed, we have let ourselves dream about what our first shop could look like and now the day is finally here and we are so excited that it is in Harrogate! We couldn’t be more proud of how it has come together and we can’t wait to have the chance to interact with our customers in person.” – Jessica Hanley, Founder & CEO at Piglet in Bed
“We love the feel of the town, there are plenty of cool independents that we’re excited to collaborate with, great places to eat and beautiful surroundings. The position on James Street is ideal being at the very centre of the hustle and bustle. We believe Harrogate will be a place for establishing regular customers but also raising brand awareness from the many visitors that come here,” said Rhiannon Johns, head of brand at Piglet in Bed.
Piglet in Bed will be opening their second store in Bath in January 2024.
