Buckingham Palace G&T tin launched as Royal Collection Trust announces wholesale alcohol opportunities

Buckingham Palace G&T tin To coincide with Buckingham Palace opening to the public for the summer, Royal Collection Trust, a department of the Royal Household, has introduced Buckingham Palace Gin & Tonic in a Tin as a new addition to its gin range.

The 250ml tin is a ready-mixed cocktail made with Buckingham Palace Dry Gin – a light, crisp gin infused with 12 botanicals including lemon verbena, bay leaves and mulberry leaves hand-picked from the Palace’s famous garden – and a premium tonic water.

The tins mark the first product in the ready-to-drink market for Royal Collection Trust and expands its existing line of gins, each infused with botanicals harvested from the gardens of the three official royal residences. The Buckingham Palace Dry Gin – which sold out in hours when it launched in 2020 – is available alongside the Buckingham Palace Sloe Gin, the Pink Windsor Castle Gin, and the Palace of Holyroodhouse Dry Gin.

Royal Collection Trust’s growing alcohol range, including the best-selling Buckingham Palace Dry Gin, will be available to external partners for the first time from this summer, as the charity has been granted an alcohol wholesale licence (AWRS).

Kaneesha Bose, Head of Central Retail, Royal Collection Trust, said: ‘We take real pride in the development of our alcohol range, which uses fresh botanicals grown on royal grounds wherever possible. We are delighted to have been granted the wholesale licence which will give us the opportunity to bring our drinks to more people.

‘The convenient can format of our Buckingham Palace Gin & Tonic in a Tin will mean ever more people can taste our classic gin, uniquely infused with ingredients from the beautiful garden at Buckingham Palace.’

The Buckingham Palace Gin & Tonic in a Tin is available for purchase from the on-site shops and cafés at the royal residences, and forms part of the Afternoon Tea at The Garden Café at Buckingham Palace this summer.

A wider selection of alcohol, which includes Palace Collection Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, Buckingham Palace Pauillac, and Palace of Holyroodhouse Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, is available from Royal Collection Trust Shops in London, Edinburgh and Windsor, and online at royalcollectionshop.co.uk/foodhall/wine-and-spirits.

The income from purchases contributes to the care and conservation of the Royal Collection and helps Royal Collection Trust to share it with everyone, wherever they are.
