Kennet Crayfish Gin are thrilled to announce that they have been awarded a bronze medal in the prestigious International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), the world’s largest and most influential spirits awards. This is the second win for the innovative premium craft gin in its first year, having already achieved a silver medal The World Gin Awards.

The Gin Awards is IWSC’s biggest awards category, with thousands of entries coming in from all around the world, so we are competing against some extraordinary producers. The judges tasting notes were: ‘Aromas of sun-kissed citrus and green spice, lead to a bright, refreshing palate of savoury herbs and cardamom’. The crayfish gin is a new venture for The Kennet Crayfish Company, which traps wild crayfish in the chalk stream waters of the River Kennet in Berkshire. The unique, superior quality of this delicacy has been recognised in the food sector with a placing in the top three of the BBC Food and Farming Awards and by featuring on the menus of Michelin starred and other fine dining restaurants, gastro pubs and top wedding caterers.
